Who is Oxford Life™ Insurance Company?

Oxford Life™ Insurance Company (Oxford Life™) is an insurance carrier dedicated to the senior marketplace, offering a wide range of high-quality annuity, life insurance, and Medicare supplement insurance products. Oxford Life™ was founded in 1965 and our headquarters are in Phoenix, Arizona. Oxford Life™ has three subsidiary companies – Christian Fidelity Life Insurance Company, Dallas General Life Insurance Company and North American Insurance Company.

Christian Fidelity Life Insurance Company (Christian Fidelity) was founded in 1954 in Waxahachie, Texas. Currently the company is most heavily involved in Medicare supplement insurance plans.

Each of Oxford Life™’s subsidiary companies are financially independent, although we do promote the economic delivery of our shared resources in order to reduce our costs and therefore reduce our costs to you.

Oxford Life™ is a member of AMERCO®, a publicly traded financial holding network. Oxford Life™ is rated by A.M. Best as B++ (Good) with a stable outlook indicates a company is experiencing stable financial/market trends and there is a low likelihood that its rating will change in the near term.

What sort of insurance products does Oxford Life™ offer?

Annuities - Affluence is an fixed indexed flexible premium deferred annuity.

Life Insurance Assurance™ is a whole life insurance product that provides a no-worry solution to help cover final expense needs. Final expense is also called burial insurance or cash burial insurance since that is a common use of this sort of policy. Oxford Life™ also markets critical illness insurance available both as an employment benefit or an individual insurance policy.

Advance Wealth Transfer™ offers affordable, guaranteed death benefit protection combined with innovative living benefits. Oxford Life created Advance Wealth Transfer for individuals who are interested in transferring wealth to their heirs with minimal tax or probate consequences.

If any of these are your questions, chances are you are confusing Oxford Life™ with Oxford Health Plans®, another insurance company with a similar-sounding name.

Oxford Life™ and our subsidiaries are not related in any way to Oxford Health Plans. Oxford Health Plans, Inc. provides health plans to employers and individuals primarily in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Oxford Life™ does not market health insurance to the general public. However, we do administer a traditional major medical insurance plan called the Amerco Medical Plan, which covers employees of U-Haul and related companies. Claim forms for this plan can be found on this site under the Policyholders menu item. The Amerco Medical Plan is not available to the general public.
